^Whatever happended to the Xerxes spin-off or the prequel that The Goddamn Frank Miller kept hinting about? There's dead King Leonidas and rallying Queen Gorgo in this one so I guess it's a long overdue sequel. Besides Eva Green is in it so...boobs.

Speaking of which, the new The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug trailer raises the following points for me:

-3D 48fps still makes Peter Jackson's Middle Earth look fake
- Judging by how badass she looks with Legolas I might be able to accept how they shoehorned Evangeline Lilly's character into the story (Bilbo's adventure would be a sausage-fest, otherwise)
-I'm intrigued to see/hear how Benedict CumberKhan will voice Smaug and The Necromancer of dol Goldur now that we can see what the dragon's face will look like.

Supposedly some of Miller's "prequel" is covered in the 300 sequel. He's still working on it as far as I know, and it's going to be released in 6 parts. Snyder says they are interested in making another film based on the whole Xerxes origins story once Miller is done the graphic novels.

^Apparently the action in "Man of Steel" is relentless. I'm not a huge Supes fan so I'll wait till I can borrow this for free from the library but the Zack Snyder/Christopher Nolan team-up is sure to make this a guaranteed hit.

Sadly, early reviews say Michael Shannon's General Zod isn't into making others kneel like Terence Stamp's was.

Snap, finally the new 300 movie! Been waiting so long. So they abandoned the Frank Miller prequel comic, huh? Good, I'd rather have a sequel than a prequel anyways.

i was worried the new 300 wouldn't quite look like the first, becuz I believe I read that Ubisoft bought the studio that did 300 (and Sin City I think?) for their own purposes. It's lookin' good. Blue capes? Sure, I dig it.

^ No kneeling? Boooooo! Going to see the Man of Steel sometime next week. I don't want to fight through the crowds this weekend.
