My notification ringtone on my phone is Soundwave from the cartoon saying, "Transmissions detected."

Some of you will be in awe of this guy, some of you will be like "pfft....that's all?"

I'm sure Protoman has spent that much on one particular character...

For those who think it's an overwhelming number...

$32,000 over the course of the past 20 years, is just $1,600 per year....or $133.33 a month. Also factor in some of us has been collecting a lot longer.

No credit to me for finding this article. I took it from TFW2005.

Re: How big of a Transformers fan are you?

Honestly, it isn't that impressive. We have people in Winnipeg who spent that much on a replica car from the films, nevermind huge collections.

I think it's pretty impressive but not compared to the guy who spent $26,815 US for the uncirculated G2 Stunticons set a week or two ago. I'd love to know what that guy has spent overall and see pics of his collection.

^ If you spend more than 9$ on a standard deluxe and more than 20$ on a voyager you're doing it wrong.

Like this guy.

I don't hang around nor hover around local toy stores discussing these online banters either.

You're talking US$ prices, right?

Or are your referring to everything had to be bought loose at any Con or Show?

At your guideline, deluxes would have to be $7.96 pre-tax, and voyagers to be $17.69 pre-tax at retail. Because otherwise I'm "doing it wrong" by buying $10 deluxes at TFCon.

Because I feel TRU 30% off sales are decent enough.
Deluxe => $11.87 + tax = $13.41
Voyager => $20.97 + tax = $23.69
