Fanexpo fr real?

SORY, i did live in a cav and not knowing how big this event is. But this is the 1st time happened in Vancouvr.
My question is it always run by 'Hobby Star Marketing' in Toronto, and do they use paypal as payment method?

Re: Fanexpo fr real?

I didn't realize Vancouver even had a fanexpo...Toronto has one every year in August.

I'm heading out to check it out right now. I'm looking forward to meeting Adam West and Burt Ward and seeing the 1960's Batmobile. Brought some extra cash to see what the dealers room has to offer. It should be fun.

Yes it is run by Hobby Star. It doesn't matter to me, not only do I have no way to Vancouver. In Toronto I'd never ever go again. After the last three years I went only to be deal with the fiasco.

I go every year to the Toronto one. The year they over-sold (2010) was insane and I was shocked they didn't offer any compensation to the Deluxe Pass or Premium Pass holders. Paying for a show only to not be allowed in/back in/or on the upper level because of fire-safety regulations was sheer stupidity.

Last year was great though. I've already bought tickets for this year.

Oversold? UNDERSTORY. They were still selling regular admissions at the door during the fiasco. 2008, 2009 and 2010 were the only years I went and never, ever would I give that disrespecting company any of my money. Especially after hearing what happened at their DTAC convention last December.

The line-up has been handled gracefully last year as well as the security in March.I'm sure HobbyStar has been diligent not to repeat mistakes twice, but I do worry about administration maintaining larger crowds year after year...it's beginning to be like Comic-Con.

Re: Fanexpo fr real?

So the first day of the con was busy as hell. I lined up in line ups that were to get into other line ups. I saw the panels I wanted to see but didn't get to get the time to get around to get all the autographed I wanted signed. Thankfully, I got a two day pass so I can finish everything tomorrow.
