Continuing to go through my BBTS order, I unboxed Selects Exhaust and transformed it a few times, and I'm glad I skipped the Siege Wheeljack mould. This version isn't terrible, but compared to both the Generations and Prime versions of Wheeljack it's a step down. It doesn't have anything approaching the cleverness of Prime Wheeljack's legs or the overall intricacy of Generations Wheeljack. It just goes from one mode to the other without doing anything interesting on the way, and has some added annoyances (like the giant back panel interfering with arm transformation) on top of that.

If this had been the only updated Wheeljack to come out I wouldn't be complaining, since it does its job reasonably well, but it doesn't measure up to what's come before.

Opened my own Botropolis set yesterday, messed around with them a bit.

Still trying to figure out how people are making their Countdown rocket bases. I think there's something up with my Overair's maximum ankle tilt since it makes a loud noise and I'm seeing hairline breaks in the plastic.

Still going through that BBTS order and I transformed Core Rattrap for the first time, or tried to at least. That thing is a piece of garbage. Nothing fits together properly in beast mode. As soon as you get one tab into place another comes loose. The robot mode looks okay but it's an absolute failure of a Transformer.

EDIT: Wait. I had the shoulders backwards. I turned them around and got that extra fraction of a millimetre of clearance I needed to make the rest fit. This might be an okay toy after all. I still think I prefer Vertebreak, though.

After replacing my CW Megatron with Despotron, I find myself transforming CW Megs a lot more so my kid can play with "the big tank megatron". He's easy enough to do on a whim, and interesting enough that it doesn't get boring. And I didn't shoot myself in the eye again.

Side note, my 3 year old might be obsessed with transformers, and he rarely goes a day without babbling about something to do with them, or some character, or just pointing out which are good guys and which are bad guys.

Generations select Star Convoy. Great retool of PoTP Optimus. Now if only I could find a super megatron at a reasonable price...

Angry Barney and Mr. Burns (Aka Kingdom Megatron and Dinobot.) Have to be my favorite figures in recent years.

Definetally the best non-MP of each figure. I find Megs though just knocks it out of the park design wise in both modes. Dinobot's raptor mode suffered though.

... my whole life. Threw out everything from a 10 yr failed marriage and then some. Nothing left but an empty house soon to be vacated... and a rm full of bots to keep me company at a new house!!

Guess there is no transforming back. Hope it's all for the better. At least you have the bots -- they are great company! And, much easier to change, if need.
