the hassle of putting transformers into storage...

So tonight I was reorganizing my transformers collection and putting most of my packaged figures into storage, anyways I was planning to put Cyclonus, Starscream, Octane, etc. (basically all the classics/universe Deceptions into one box) but now can't for the life of me I can't find Galvatron (which was just on my bed a few minutes ago)... what are the chances he pulled a Toy Story and just ran?!

...also I swear I bought two Sunstreakers (one which I gave to my cousin) but I have no idea where mine is???

Don't you hate it when you realize after months you're missing a transformer in collection or that you totally forget about a transformers figure you've purchase in the past? Has this ever happened to you?

Heh, I sometimes forget I bought something and then buy another one only to find out I now have a double of the same toy.

Re: the hassle of putting transformers into storage...

It's a pain.

I'm sorting through about 20 boxes of my personal, collection and office stuff. Most of which are Transformers and Action figures.

I'm currently missing 2 very expensive parts. Hopefully I'll track them down soon.

Still have about 8 or 10 boxes to unpack.

Same thing happens to me. Today, I tried to find Alternator Dead End's head. For the life of me I can't find it anywhere.

The part where you're putting a toy away, you drop a small piece - Sideswipe's sidearm, one of Arcee's swords, a missile - and have to sort through your bedroom trying to find a tiny little piece reminds me the most of my childhood. I mean sure, G1 is nostalgia, but looking for a missile that is stuck in your bed? That's exactly like being five again.

Re: the hassle of putting transformers into storage...

When I box things up I try and make of list of what is in which box. I'm currently packing up Gi Joes and unopened tfs. Making sure the correct sccesories is the time consuming part. Fortunately the online resourses we have make that a lot easier.

I did find 2 clone ware captain Rex's tho. So far that is the only double.

Just wait till your at the 5000 + mark for TFs and then tell me about missplaced, lost, double triple purchases paperwork, "do I have that piece for the loose one I bought", is it a variant? etc... although it drives you nuts its all part of the fun, justprime... won't even talk about display or storage.....:0
