That seems very likely, doesn't it??? I'm kind of annoyed because the tradition had been first releases are toon accurate (subject to these recent painted/unpainted clear plastic variants) and the second release or special release is toy accurate. It smells like they are holding back a toon face for later, but you never know for sure..

They said during the livestream that there's a toon face in the molding. There's another version coming eventually.

Pre ordered chromia and starscream! I would have loved to get sandstorm as well but $100 for a figure that size is so crazy to me.

He’s actually like 88$ after tax, down to almost 80 with the platinum discount. Still, I’m thinking about placing my order for him as well. Same with Gears who has a similar issue of being very small for his price.

I mean I loved Beachcomber but Brawn was a lil underwhelming for me, don’t wanna feel that way getting a 40$ minibot again.

I have had G1 Sandstorm since I was a kid so I might go for the toy version… but I rarely buy Leaders.
