Minimal Otakuthon haul:

- Project X Zone 2 mini wall-scroll [from the Bandai-Namco booth]
- Hori Pokken Tournament Pro Pad [MISB, from the Video Games New York table]
- card-print of Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, autographed by Tanemura Arina [from Tanemura Arina herself]


Meeting Tanemura Arina was definitely the highlight of the convention for me. She's been one of my favorite mangakas since at least 15+ years ago. I got her to sign 2 manga tankoubon volumes that I brought (ION and Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne vol.1, as seen here), and she also gave everyone who lined up a card-print of Jeanne that she autographed too in front of you.

The funny part was that I brought the original Japanese versions of the manga for her to autograph (as opposed to the licensed English or French copies which are more readily available), made her super-impressed that someone here in North America would have her manga in Japanese.

Ended up getting a Raspberry Pi 3 board, I have a 2 + laying around that I've tinkered with before so I have all the peripherals I need laying around from that.

This is in preparation for a retro console Kickstarter project I backed.

The raspberry pi is a cheap little linux based computer that's capable of emulating game consoles from the PS1 era down. The kickstarter I backed basically adds a unique dual booting operating system plus a disc reader:

Not sure, you could try contacting them directly and see if it's possible to still get one.

- Mark 1 arc reactor I got on ebay (lights up via USB)
- Hot Toys 1/6 Robocop with Mechanical Chair (Always planned to get the regular version at some point, but my hand was forced when my local store A3U/Urban Samurai had their 20% off flash sale yesterday. The regular version was gone quickly and I was left with no choice.)

All pretty cool. You know what else is cool? Ramen. Cheap ramen.
