Re: Matrix_Holders custom corner
Thanks guys, It seemed like it was a good idea to do it. I thought to myself "hey self , who is the best "target master" for Cyclonus? it's not some green alien from Nebulos...Its the madness driven ruler of the decepticons Galvatron."
it's been an off and on project for a while now...I may complete it sometime this year, lol. There is still a little more work that is needed, a paint touch uphere...an added accessory there (ie galvatrons cannon mode tail/gun handle, also from titanium galvatron) I have him displayed in bot mode being held up by unicron...will post pic of it when I'm done.

Re: Matrix_Holders custom corner
Not that I need to finish my own Bruticus upgrade set now that I have the Fansproject sets...but I may still work on him a little now and then. Here are some pics of the custom shoulder mount I made, it connects Vortex in the proper position like the FP set.

Re: Matrix_Holders custom corner
Thanks, I used the combiner port from the pinkish gray ROTF superion figure limb and some Transformers lego from the starscream armada set and some vynal siding. It gets the job done I guess, not that I need it any more with the FP set I bought, lol.

Thanks to Chans Formers's step by step guide... here is the custom open cab of CFC Rodimus, going to add some paint apps to spiffy him up a bit, lol.

once i can aquire this set locally and it's for myself and not a commish,i'll be sure to do this mod to roddy again, but share more details with pics.now i regret not taking pics along the wip for this bot so far.
a basic text version of how to do it is=
1.remove the flanged screw on the bottom of the car mode that allows the whole canopy to spin around.
2.with the canopy assembly in hand, remove the pin at the back of it,which should give you 2 pieces.(the back trunk middle chunk and the front canopy upper and lower halves)
3.remove the last screw from underneath the canopy and it should seperate like a clam shell.
4.on the 2 grey hinges on the lower half of the canopy, sand the very front and half of the top of them at a 45 degree angle.i used a nail clipper first to speed it up,but keep in mind you want clearance for the canopy lid to pivot, but you still want meat in there as it's a hinge point.
5.on the upper canopy/glass piece, you'll want to remove almost all the plastic on the very rear facing part of it,leaving only an eight of an inch before the roof line.this will give you clearnce so the bottom of the top canopy doesn't smash into the back bottom of the assembly when you open it later on.
6.sand down the very back corners of the upper canopy to add a bit more clearance so that in car mode when you open it,it doesn't catch and scratch your paint job.
you'll also want to sand/round off the upper back lip of the canopy for more clearance.
7.reassemble the pin into the upper/lower/trunk middle piece.
8.very important....do not re-install the screw that's situated behind the seats.only re-install the flanged screw that's under the center console/arm rest.if you install the screw that's behind the seats,it won't open.
9.optional, but if you want to make it so that you don't have to split his hood downwards to open it,at the very front of the canopy, carefully shave it down to the outer shape of the engine on his hood.
hope that helps for now until i aquire this bot again locally
