It would work fine if you build the rotation into the trailer itself

Re: TFcon 2012 Exclusive Shafter First Images Revealed
I'm gonna level with those that want a Shafter trailer, after totaling the cost to design one, produce the molds and product, & assemble it making ONLY 500 units would be an easy $1000 for a trailer...and realistically, it would have to cost that much as it would be an item that couldn't be used for anything else but this mold, because no other character that shares it, needs a crane...
I doubt there's enough interest in that. Best bet would be to customize your own. I'm trying to figure out an easy way to do it that I plan on sharing with the community should I using easy to obtain existing molds.

I'm staring to get some design ideas to make one out of Mega Bloks or Kre-o. I'll post pics if I do.

I wasn't trying to imply that we needed it made for the masses, I was just throwing out a workable possibility for scratchbuilding.

Well, actually, if the trailer connector was made like it is on MP-10, the trailer hitch is on a swivel, so the rotation isn't on the truck, but on the underside of the trailer.
