Re: Fansproject Glacialbots

Pros: I got to order some Glacialbots finally and the $29.99 price is easier to swallow.

Cons: Charged in American dollars, charged Canadian Tax, $18 for flat rate shipping on two small boxes is insanely high to be charging.

Actual shipping from Vancouver (where FPcore is located) to Quebec is $26.38 for a box weighing 800 grams (for a box measuring 35 x 35 x 35 cm)... To Toronto, it's $24.53. And it would cost the same whether the box weighs 1 gram or 5 kilograms.

Damn the Canadian Postal Service (Canada Post) sucks big hairy balls.

But I still don't get why they charge both in American dollars and Canadian taxes. I get the taxes but there is no need to charge in American other than to collect ont he exchange rate (the US Dollar is stronger than before compared to our dollar). I paid 81 US which converts to 88 CND so I they got 7 extra bucks for no reason at all.

THE SAVING GRACE

These are fun figures and when I say fun I mean a Canada's Wonderland Season Pass with line bypass fun packed into G1 goodness with extremely well executed play features. All this for the low 3P price of $30 a limb and $50 the torso. $170 is a great price for these and I hope this proves to be a huge success so that we can get more from the Retro line.

Great job Fansproject. I love me them Glacialbots.

I wonder if Agesthreeandup takes care of FPcore, as that is exactly how they charge from their store, USD with Canadian tax. The shipping is more but they are the only Canadian company that I see charge that way .

Re: Fansproject Glacialbots

Nothing but love for this set. I have owned Fangor since about the spring and he has retaught me how FUN a toy can be. I would say owning the rest will be 5 times the fun but that will be a lie. Owning all of them adds interaction, a combined mode and a combined mode that allows for 4 (maybe 5) of the "Chestmasters" to interact while having a giant combined robots. The play potential on this set is limited only by your imagination. I truly hope that this set sells extremely well so that we can get more of these retro figures in our hands.

On Tuesday FPC will get the remainder of my money for this set. Now I only hope these see there way to under my tree before December 25.
