Well, when Amazon Japan started the preorder it was around $455Cadn. It was a no obligation preorder and you can just order it as a placeholder and cancel it before the release date. But hey people choose not to. If it cost more now who to blame?

And why oh why anyone wanted to buy local at that price when the US/Canadian version is just a straight import by Hasbro? People have a grudge with their bank account? Even if Hasbro shoehorned Peter Cullen’s voice clips in it doesn’t make up that $230+ Cadn after tax.

Amazon.jp has changed their preorder cancellation for MP at least. i noticed this recently that i can still cancel my mp44 order, but not mp47. With mp48, you have until Aug 25 to cancel.

I'm already surprised to have found MPM-8 Megatron at my TRU here since the website says it's not shippable to Quebec (same for the upcoming MPM-9 Jazz)...
