Where does your name come from...
I'm curious about the different Usernames I see on the boards and where they came from...
Me for example - I like monkeys and have frequently used StupidMonkey/Stpdmnky as a username for several things. When I signed up here I figured I should techy it up a bit and went for CyberMnky (I've grown fond of the spelling without vowels for monkey).
How about you- Long time usage, name of dead gerbil, middle name of your high school stalk victim? Where does your name come from?

Re: Where does your name come from...
I use to post on TFW under Darth Optimus, then for some reason the board was re-set and any record of Darth Optimus was gone. I then started up again as Team Jetfire. For some reason I thought it would it would clever to set up some type of Japanese/American name like Team Rocket or the Build Team and used my favorite Transformer as a referance. As TFW was my first Internet Forum I didn't really think about setting up something less transformers-centric as it would be handy to have something that I could use everywere. That being said, I wouldn't change it.

Re: Where does your name come from...
Well, the origin of Mumps is a very un-creative one, but thats alright.
I have been using the name since the day I first put Worms Armageddon (best game ever!) into my craptastic Windows 98 machine in the Summer of 1999. I was creating my first ever team of worms, and I didnt want to have a Transformers team, or an Anime team, or a team with completely unoriginal names. However, I was never creative, and luckily that game had a random name generator! I was picking the name for the first Worm on my team, the one Worm who would represent my team, and be in EVERY game, no matter how many of my other worms were in it. So, I clicked and I clicked, and random name after random name appeared, and suddenly "Mumps" popped up. I stopped clicking, and Mumps was born.
Exciting story ain't it? XD
