It's not just TRU.com, TRU.ca sent me a Metroplex with the stickers slapped. The kicker is I got two accidentally. One when it was originally priced $129.99 and another during the 25% off which was nicely boxed =p Go figure what they do in the warehouse.

HLJ will take down pre-order or put up a stop order when their initial orders with the suppliers/manufacturers are filled. But like MP-18/19, they will have pre-order up again when there's a delay or they know they can order more or when people cancel their orders.
My MP-17 transaction is finally complete. Exactly $49.99 after exchange rate.

So u decided to ship your MPs separately? Is it to avoid custom fees? Whats your shipping cost on MP17 alone? I ordered MP 17 on EBay.. I missed out on the MP17 preorder from HLJ...

It will probably be a long time before they put up MP Magnus. They don't even have Bumblebee or Wheeljack yet because they haven't been officially announced by Takara yet.
From what I've heard you don't get dinged by customs as much from HLJ, but this is my first time ordering from them so I don't know from personal experience.

No. 49.99 is what I paid for MP-17 itself. If I were to ship it by itself with SAL, it costs about $8-9. But I will wait until MP-18 is in stock and ship both Prowl and Streak together as it will cost only about $12 to ship both. I've never paid custom for anything under $100 when shipped with SAL. MP-13 was the only items I got dinged for custom and "handling fee" due to higher value.

I read about that after. BBTS always jumps the gun. Takara hasn't even officially announced MP-20/21.

With HLJ preorders do you pay up front or when the item is in stock?
Considering going the HLJ route if it means saving some moolah

In-stock. But they are much less forgiving about cancelled preorders and delayed payments, so keep that in mind.
