It's Canada Post. The tracking on Japan Post website shows your package's activities in Japan. From the moment the shipment is registered in their system to the moment it leaves Japan. Once the package leaves Japan it will have to depend on Canada Post to scan and track your package and send the tracking back to Japan Post.

Before, international packages would track in Canada but Canada post no longer does it (cost cutting probably) but somehow increased rates at the same time.

I'm still waiting for my Black Friday orders from NY. Their site says 2-3 weeks, but apparently it has been over a month already.

Yeah, not holding my breath with Canada Post. I expect the package to just show up one day without any news from tracking.

That's what happened to me. I didn't expect delivery for a full four days and then a rental truck no less, arrives at my door with my package minutes before I was going to leave for a eight hour trip. The good news is I had something to do for eight hours in the truck, but if it had been 10 minutes later it would have been sitting in the snow on my porc h for more than nine hours...

Ugh I hate that my MP Inferno is in Limbo somewhere.

I've received everything else that was shipped just before or after it. >_< Today I just received an item I shipped on December 28 too. Sigh...

I got my Inferno yesterday. Who knows when it was actually delivered, as I'm a teacher and had it mailed to my school so it may have arrived during the two week break and was just waiting.

I will say that Japan Post still shows nothing other than it was mailed. No confirmation of delivery. As far as that site goes, nothing has happened to it.

Ya, that's because Canada Post doesn't provide tracking information so Japan Post can't update their side of things.

Not quite. Japan updates even if Canada doesn't. Not always, but it's supposed to happen.
