Unhappy HELP!?: Broken G1 Laserbeak Leg

Hey Guys,

I'm still a little new to the forums here. I was looking for a place that talks about customs or repairing TFs.

Last week the metal peg that holds my laser beaks leg broke off.

Is there any way to fix this, besides super and crazy glue? I found that didn't work at all.

Or does anyone have that part of laserbeak around?

Thanks for any help y'all very much appreciated!

If it's the actual metal piece that you are talking about the super glue you were using may not work because it's the wrong type. Chances are the type you have will not react with metals, but there are some types of crazy glue/super glue that work with metals. These will say that they work with metal on the packaging though so it should be easy to find some at a local walmart or something similar.

Alternatively, loctite also makes adhesives like this one http://www.loctiteproducts.com/p/cnt...r-Adhesive.htm which can glue metals together.

You'll frequently find these figures missing heads because the plastic pegs wear down. My suggestion is look for figures that are missing the head, and pop your head on that body. That's probably the easiest and cheapest way to fix your situation if glue doesn't work.

I sold a junker laserbeak in a similar situation last TFCon.

Thanks man I'll have to look for the product at walmart or other stores. Cheers!

Easiest way to fix it if you are attached to that body, would be to drill a hole in the back, and put a screw in it. Glue won't hole as it's a friction joint, transforming would break it right off again.I'd agree with bruticus82 just parts swap it

Re: HELP!?: Broken G1 Laserbeak Leg

Thanks my friend, I was thinking the same thing about the friction point and the outcome. I have a good glue set to it for now, when that comes apart I'll see what I can do about finding a bit and screw small enough.

This helps a bunch!

Love the boards here..things are happening and how the supports are there.

Really appreciate ya

Bryce my buddy, it worked. I just gave it to dad, and he did the exact same thing you suggested. I was totally freaked out that first he fixed it and that it was the same way you mentioned bro.

See my display laserbeak all fix up below:

Dad said he McGyver'd it, and I told him yeah and all with out that 80's MUllet! LOL..

Thanks guys for your help and support!
