The big corporations (Amazon, TRU, Walmart*, GameStop) won't charge for preorders until they ship. It's mostly the smaller shops as it's a lot harder for them to eat the cost of somebody ghosting on their orders.

(*Walmart doesn't let you cancel preorders, so only order from them if you're sure you want it or you're willing to return it.)

I’m glad people seem to be getting their orders. Personally I stopped preordering with amazon.ca after they canceled my Kingdom Galvatron that I preordered on day 1. Looks like it’s better these days. Now I only preorders with hobby stores like the ones in the sponsors. Still haven’t received my Tarn/Breakdown/Needlenose at the moment, should be soon I hope. I might return with amazon eventually, because of the free shipping. It was just too unstable at some point.

I got burned during Earthrise like most folks, so that ended amazon preorders for me.

I feel you. I did the same until the Outrun Collectibles fiasco. Now I'm back to only ordering from places that only charge me when something ships.

Was there ever an Amazon pre-order for Breakdown? I missed the Gamestop order and starting to worry this figure is never going to show up anywhere for me to complete Menasor. My local Walmarts are barren of any transformers figures.
