Siege Ultra Magnus' shoulders
Ultra Magnus' shoulder stacks slide on the inner robot's shoulders well enough but they don't really snap on. That doesn't bother me too much but the rear grey flap that's supposed to clip on the white tab on the back of the shoulder never lines up correctly. Nothing seems to give when I try to move the whole shoulder piece around so I don't know if the problem is a mold problem with the part. Has anybody encountered this?

Re: Siege Ultra Magnus' shoulders
I have that problem on the right shoulder. The left shoulder lines up.

Re: Siege Ultra Magnus' shoulders
I read (I think it was the feedback thread on TFW) that it's his smokestacks. In earlier renders they appear to be shorter, but were supposedly made longer to better hold those blast effect parts that come with other figures. If you sand them down (just a bit at a time) you can get the shoulder stacks to fit and the grey tabs will lock perfectly.

Re: Siege Ultra Magnus' shoulders
ok... I decided that while I was scared to mess a 70+$ figure, I really wanted them to fit so...
I grabbed my precision files and went to work.
I filed the smokestacks just a tiny bit at a time until I could see that the tab was as flush as possible. I also tried filing inside the shoulder pieces where the smokestacks goes and managed to get maybe a paper thin amount off.
Didn't work but looked like it was in the right direction... I examined everything and could see that the white tabs in the back of the arms were still too high for the grey flaps to align correctly, and shortening the smokestacks more would not help.
so I filed those white tabs a bit at the bottom...
I took my time and it finally worked without needing to remove too much. I would pass the file between 5 to 7 times between retries, removing a paper thin amount at the time.
My shoulder pieces' grey flaps are finally snapping in, not as firmly as I hoped, but they are holding properly and no more shoulder pieces falling off.

Re: Siege Ultra Magnus' shoulders
Have not noticed the shoulder issue yet. Or maybe I am not reading it right.
However, I absolutely cannot move the cab part 'down' as described in the instructions. They show it moving along the white toothlike piece...? I can get UM into truck mode fine though.

Can you pull off the shoulder parts (add-on armour) without unclipping those grey flaps in hte back? If yes, then that's the problem.
If your flaps snap in correctly, the shoulder armour shouldn't come off easily.
But about your question about the cab down. not sure what you mean.

Re: Siege Ultra Magnus' shoulders
I just double checked my shoulders. His left fits about 90% properly onto the white peg. His right arm connection is perfect. I did not modify anything. I pushed down and in towards the body then flipped the grey piece onto the peg.
As for my other non-problem: I had mixed up the instructions for around step 15/16. You need to move the white front cab part out then slide the blue cab part down, then move the front cab back.
