I've bought direct from them for lots of stuff and have had no problems whatsoever. Great packing, free shipping, fast shipping. I'd recommend you ship direct from them, but that's just my review and opinion.

the general consensus is if you get them in good condition, you're good to go, if there's a problem, you're sol or waiting for months

I want to get them but I have heard of issues when buying directly from them as brr-icy stated. I also do not want to pay them in full for just a preorder that they may cancel.

If you don't order directly from them - you may pay a bit more as its going to be another retailer who has to pay for their own costs. Shipping will be tacked on.
If there are issues with the item - you can complain to the retailer selling it to you - and they will turn back to igear and advise them of the situation. If and when they get back to the retailer - they'll mail the part to the retailer - who then has to mail/hand over the part to you.
If you don't preorder - you wont get your item at the cheaper price. If there isn't enough interest the coneheads wont be produced. If they do get enough and a store gets them, refer back to line 1.

iGear CS issues aside, I love these and highly recommend them for anyone even remotely interested in the MP line and/or seekers.
They are beautiful, the quality is great, the sculpt is great...honestly don't miss out if you're remotely interested.
