what is your gem or rare item in your collection
with the g2 afa'd protectobots ebay auction front paged on tfw2005, it got me thinking of what is rare in my collection. i know ill never own these lol. rare as in worth quite a bit and not too many people have this item. so we can eliminate any high end or big items that are normal or asian market release like masterpieces, supreme class (ie unicrom or primus), brave max, fort max, i guess grand max can count? what comes to mind for me would be
1 diaclone blue silverstreak
2 japanese headmasters (kirk, lione, loafer, rodney, SHUFFLER, trizer)
3 dinotapes (dial, gurafi, noise, zaur)
4 battle gaia and guard city since they were technically the last g1 toys made before the line died and made in limited quantities.
im sure theres gonna be a few surpises in this thread, who knows maybe someone here has the g2 stunticons, some rare portotypes, diaclones, the list can go on since there are a lot of rare things.....forgot about luckydraws...

I don't think I own anything as valuable as the JP Headmasters, or G2 prototypes...
The ones that really stand out in my collection:
- Gold-clawed Black Lio Convoy (Lucky draw... -ish)
- Nucleon Quest SuperConvoy (Black Powermaster Prime)
- JAFCon Prime (Black G1 Prime)
After those, there's always the really nice ones, but I don't consider "gems", either because they're inherently not that valuable, or they're more recent exclusives:
- Henkei Crystal Convoy
- Fusion Cluster Protoform Prime & Starscream
- Gentei Wildrider
- Black Big Convoy

Seriously, I don't own anything super rare.
EDIT: Oh wait, I got Aveo Swerve and New Year G1 Convoy. But like I said, not super rare. Binaltech BT-18 maybe? Dia Commander? Animated Wreck-Gar?  D

What are these worth... I have a friend who swears he had these when he was a kid. Not sure which one to be exact. He had his grandfather bring them over from Japan when he was a kid. If this is the case i'll be scoring some pretty rare tapes this weekend.
Rare in my collection? I don't think there is anything rare at all...

I have some exclusives (Japan TRU, BOTCON, etc) and Japanese G1's but I don't have anything that is super rare...

Hmmm. Well they pretty much all are gems to me lol.
I think my BM Primal Prime and Magmatron are sort of rare. Possibly my Japanese BW Galvatron as well. The entire BM collection? lol. I really don't know.
I guess that rare item is yet to be acquired then.
Edit: Ah, Takara New Year Optimus Prime?

Nothing crazy and unsual like what you guys have, but the ones that are important to me and have more sentimnetal value.
1. G1 Jetfire- My first Transformer. Sure it is Yellow and missing a few parts, but I have had it for 25 years, what do you expect..
2. Aveo Swerve- A good buddy of mine made this happen.
3. Beast Machines Cheetor- First transformers as a Collector.
