Re: A3U given the boot!

On the plus side they don't have to follow the malls rules anymore.

Pretty sure that's only on the website... in store I believe everything is marked in CAD... my orders from the online store sometimes show up with CAD price stickers on them from their in store stock.

The question is TF type adult toy store or latex and lube type adult toy store?

Re: A3U given the boot!

So in talking with staff today, they tell me that another toy retailer signed a new lease with the mall and part of the deal was to give a3u the boot. They'll be selling similar products and will be taking over the vacated unit.

They are handing out 10% off coupons that can be used at the new location starting next month.

Oh thats exciting. Hopefully they are going to be a collectors oriented store with decent prices, because that would be retarded if they kicked out A3u and it turned out they were just a kids toy store that doesn't even sell similar things to A3u.

Thanks! Some of my suspicions confirmed!
But from the sounds of it i think they are better off at a new location anyway.

Re: A3U given the boot!

A3U must have shitty lawyers.

You can't just break a lease without cause, it's kind of a big deal in the commercial world. You get sued for that.

There is more to this story, guaranteed.

Will be interesting to see who opens up there. I just don't think A3U is a blip on any of the big boxes radar and the idea that Shape Properties is playing favorites is kind of ridiculous. Unless A3U really pissed them of somehow, it's bad business.

Sounds like something people in the know tell people who aren't and don't need to be.

All of us would buy at Walmart, the Bay or TRU or where ever because it's always significantly cheaper than somewhere like A3U.

They don't compete with a tiny, specialized store like A3u.

I think more likely someone at A3U must have dropped the ball or the lease they had signed was very poorly written for them.

That or rents are going way up with the evergreen line about to open and all those new towers coming and A3U didn't want to pay up and were given the option to just leave.

I sure hope they have a moving sale.

Lougheed is managed by Shape Properties, not Cadillac Fairview.
