FYI, the Skytrain goes to Metrotown (which is right across the street from Metropolis) and to Loughheed Mall (where A3U is). I think the Loughheed mall one is on a different line though. But either way, they are pretty easy to get to even without automotive transportation.

I'll definitely check the places in Richmond out; they all seem to be relatively in the same area, especially convenient since my wife wanted to go to Aberdeen mall anyways.

On the flipside, I don't think I'll be making it that far east in Burnaby, so I don't think I'll be going to check out A3U/USH, unfortunately.

If you can make it out, go to Toy Traders in Langley. Their dioramas are worth the visit alone. They have two buildings, the main Toy Traders store, and across the parking lot, Game Stars, which has their vintage items, and a lot of anime figures and stuff.

Hehe, Venksta, you were reading my mind and beat me to it. I second both of these stores. Each have their own merits. JHobby has an interesting selection of import stuff, while Toy traders is just something to behold. It is unlike any other toy store around.

I went to Aberdeen Center today, and passed by JHobby as well.

Didn't grab anything in the really cool Gashapon store in Aberdeen, though.

Good selection of stuff at JHobby, but some of the prices of the higher end things weren't quite what I was hoping (compared to getting them from online retailers, even after shipping costs). I still picked up an SD O-Gundam kit just so it didn't seem to my wife that we walked all the way there for nothing while she was already tired.
