All in all, I know its a cartoon, and it doesn't bother me that much, I was just pondering on it. I like the idea of not being able to handle the water pressure, that sounds very plausible.

Cartoons are actually paying a lot more attention to these kinds of details than they did in the past. We can forgive them the occasional slip up.

Just look at G1 if you want to see plotholes big enough to lose an entire Autobot convoy down!

It could be her own mind subconsciously using it as one more excuse to purge the organic part of her.

Or it may be just self doubt caused by something she sees in herself as a weakness.
