TFA Black Arachnia plotholes
Ok, so people here know all about Black Arachnia in Animated, and how's she trying to purge her organic half, yadda yadda yadda...
here's what I don't understand:
In "A bridge too close pt2", when Sari is leading Black Arachnia in circles, when she finds out the Ark is underwater, she says "My organic half can't possibly survive that!" implying that she would drown?
In that case, how did she survive getting to Earth? How did she survive in space? Was there air in the Nemesis?
This makes things even more complicated when in the comic, Black Arachnia goes to the wrecked Nemesis to propose an alliance with Starscream, and I'm pretty sure there's no air in there.
Any ideas, or is this just a plothole?

Hmmm maybe her spider side does not like water, hehe =P Either way it's a common thing with TFs, specially G1 related stuff, to breath or not to breath, that is the question.

Going off the "The Arrival" comic, she's somewhat equipped for surviving in a vaccum. (See: her with a faceplate in said comic).
Underwater could be different though, I suppose.

Contradictions for the lose. It's like Ratchet and getting healed by the Allspark. His signature wounds don't get healed. And then look at Megatron, he was was severely damaged yet he morphed into something even more powerful than his previous form.

You could say their desires have something to do with how the Allspark effects them? Thats about the best thing to fill the gap that I can think of.

Re: TFA Black Arachnia plotholes
It is probably the result of plot-hole, but it is practical our jobs as fans to come up with story, no matter how ridiculous, to explain the writers oversite...
My thought is that the predatory fish found in lake Michigan are drawn to her Organic half. She is aware of this and has stayed clear of the lake.

It's only a cartoon. Cartoons by definition don't make sense.

Well said.
And it's a cartoon made firstly for the kids (and by the side for the older TFs fans). Kids, in general, don't really care about that kind of details, they want cool stories with action and adventure.
But in an other point of view, plotholes are not impossible. We just can't say if it is or not 'cause we didn't know everything about each character and since there are other seasons on the way, we will probably have other details if it's pertinent for the episodes. Only the authors know. Speculations are open.

Re: TFA Black Arachnia plotholes
Maybe it was the fact that the water was freezing cold. Not many animals can survive in the freezing cold.
Cheers!
