how to remove tamographs?

Hey guys, I want to get rid of the Gold and Silver tampograph faction symbols on my Animated toys, and I was wondering what to use. I tried rubbing alcohol on Lockdown and it got the con symbol off his chest with ease, but I was rubbing and rubbing to get the one off his back, and it wouldn't come off, or even fade a little. Any advice?

I would think rubbing alcohol would work.

Though for all I know, they might have some kind of sealant on his back - isn't that painted clear plastic after all?

I just stick to superimposing Reprolabels myself.

that may be true for the sealant thing... I just want Lockdown to have no faction symbols, ala the show. Except for a black square on his chest.

Yeah, I want to do the same with Shockwave's cannon so the Decepticon symbol is not showing when Longarm is in robot mode... Would peroxyde work?

Nail polish remover works but it does weaken the plastic so do NOT use it near joints. It will make it brittle and easy to snap.

Not sure what's available up near you being in CA, but it's recommended to try 70% rubbing alcohol, and if that doesn't work, try 91% rubbing alcohol. Sometimes lighter fluid (zippo) or gasoline work also, or you can try "oops" stain remover.

I'm thinking that its the sealant on Lockdown's back, since I'm using 98% rubbing alcohol... I guess I'll just paint over the whole roof of the car mode. But Pascal, rubbing alcohol works easily on other figs, and it looks like the symbol on Shockwave's cannon mode is on bare plastic, so everything that should work fine

It worked! That alone makes the toy 5% better now.
