Money for Nothing?
Wheel jack seems to be getting little love.
All of the new MP holds (save Prowl) seem to suffer from limited flexibility and WJ is no different in that regard. Otherwise, I think it is one of the best molds yet.
True the paint scheme went for the official race-car design over the G1 toy/cartoon design and this raises a question for me.
Did takara make a mistake obtaining licenses for molds that were not licensed originally?
E.G., the original wheel jack was not "Alitalia", it was "Alitalla" I have to say I would've preferred the original "not quite" authentic paint to the official scheme.
Same with the mini cars. Great that they got the Volkswagen license, but the "not-quite" beetle that BB originally was would have been just fine. Better IMO because then he would match my G1.
So the question is, do you prefer the authentic licensed molds/paint schemes or the original G1 molds/paint schemes.
If it's the latter, is Takara wasting money on new licenses that could go to obtaining licenses for previously licensed G1 characters?
Thoughts?

Prefer the licensed molds. Screen accurate bot modes with real-world accurate vehicular modes are actually quite cool.
A 'sort of' VW Beetle would be a cop out. Takara knows the MP audience are older collectors like us so making the cars look more real than they did in the cartoon makes sense when you consider they're going to be displayed (mostly as robots but sometimes as cars).

I do think they could have taken a little liberty with the VW and shortened the front end a bit. Not only would Bee's feet be a little smaller (instead of the clogs he now has) but the vehicle would be slightly more aesthetically pleasing.

Re: Money for Nothing?
wheeljack (especially with the reprolabels set to really finish off the sponsors) is pretty much my favorite figure of the year
