Where does your name come from...

Way back in 1986.

Back in 1984/5 I had a couple of TF nicknames, in our TF group everyone had a nickname. I had "Spike" due to my spiky hair, and "Mixmaster" to closely match my real name (Mitchell), thus AKA "Mitch-Master / Mixmaster", but none of my friends wanted to call me master. That would have been cool.

Alas 1986 rolled around and Metroplex was introduced. My buds had to choose between "Mitch-master" or "Mitchellplex". As you can see, Metroplex was voted to be my official nickname.

Fast forward to 1999, I tried signing up for metroplex@hotmail.com, but some other nerd took it. So I had to add the birth year.

Sidenote: when I was playing Starcraft online, my short name dubbed by teammates was "M79", which sounds like a weapon....or a deadly gas.

I'm surprised I haven't Posted here...

TMIIWonkoNemises is pretty much a combination of other Usernames I used in the past few years.'Nemises' my second web moniker was used when I joined various Anime Forums as early as 2004.'Wonko The Sane' (Yes,I stole Ben Yee's original Username as tribute to how much I love Beast Wars) I used in smaller Transformers Forums in 2006.

Up to that point,since I love having the two names (Since it gave me various friends during my run in the interwebs) I decided to fuse the two together and make TMIIWonkoNemises...the 'TMII' part,which we all know is the acronym for 'Transmetal II' in Beast Wars,I placed that as an upgrade for the fusion of my favourite Usernames.

So,there you go.

I like Optimus Prime (aka Convoy) and I like the Skyline GTR (R34) car, so I combined the two and got ConvoyGTR. Interestingly, this was before the Alternity GTR Convoy was announced. I was very happy that day when Takara was gonna make a TF of my favorite car in somewhat Binaltech style, even though its the newer R35 model.

My usual handle of Mr. Blades has an odd tendency to be taken in certain places, I was lucky to secure it on the PSN however when signing up for a Transformers Site originally Seibertron.com it had been taken so I decided to come up with something clever and transformer related. I gazed upon my collection for divine inspiration and there it was my Cybertron Sideways posed giving a backhand and from then on Sideslap it was and I just carried it onto here.

Haha, someone should look into more member names for the sake of adding to the story.

Then as far as mine goes, it's basically taken from a few things. The full or otherwise longer versions (True Nomad Skies & Nomad Skies) came from a Shaye song called Beauty where ones of the lines is "stay true to your nomad skies", but I've generally just liked the name "Nomad" & ran with it. Also, you might not know the group, but you've probably heard song by the individual members at some point.

Unfortunately I don't have much of a story to contribute...TF Name + year of birth.

I could tell you that originally I used the name Devastator82 somewhere else before changing my mind and picking Bruticus82, here and elsewhere...
