Am I the only one NOT really excited by the Titans Return toys?

Don't get me wrong, I do think they're cool, but I just haven't gotten that "Gotta Catch'em All" vibe from them thus far.

There are a few that I'd like to get; like Galvatron, because he looks pretty sweet, and Skullcruncher, because he was my first/only Headmaster back in '87 so I have an attachment to his character. But really, that's about it.

Maybe I might want to get Fort Max just because I don't have a G1 Fort Max, and it would be a way for me to get that character without having to shell out a lot of money for a vintage or reissue. Also I've been conflicted about getting a G1 Fort Max because I have Brave Max, and I just don't feel right about spending so much money on basically the same figure.

I only got Generations Brainstorm because I don't have a G1 Brainstorm, and he fills the gap until I do. Once I have the G1, I might sell off the Gen.

Anyone else feel this way?

I'm excited to be getting new characters. As much as I like the 84/85 cast I am ready to see some other g1 characters get modernized instead of a new version prowl or sunstreaker

I felt that way about every line and only but what I like, sometimes in duplicate or more.

I am really excited because they are making all of the headmasters from season 4. Headmasters, targetmasters, combiners and pretenders were my favourite lines/groups in G1 and I cannot wait to get new and updated versions of those figures.

Re: Am I the only one NOT really excited by the Titans Return toys?

I'm pretty excited about the entire line. Not likely to get the red jet/shuttle, but it also looks like such an easy retool into Astrotrain I'll end up with the mold eventually. The gimmick looks fine and most importantly doesn't appear as inhibiting to overall designs and transformations as Combiner Wars. Galvatron looks amazing, I'm all for most of these Headmaster characters, and Blaster looks great. I'm less chuffed on the Soundwave retool, but I'll probably end up with him anyway. ^^

I love Combiner Wars, it's just the simple necessity of deluxes having huge pegs and voyagers serving as torsos. The Alpha Bravo basic design without a peg would allow the arms to hide in the torso, for example. It's not a big deal because it's all about the gestalts.

Not massively interested. A few, like Galvatron, look cool, but ultimately... meh.

Re: Am I the only one NOT really excited by the Titans Return toys?

I am excited to add some of these to my Classic Generations Collection. I thought I was going to stop for a bit after the Combiner Wars, but doesn't look like that is happening. I am interested in most deluxes and voyagers so far, not so much on the leader class though. I hope I could take a break for a while after the Titan Return.
