What is the TF situation at your local TRU?

Hey all.

I was at my local TRU today and I took a look at the TF section. To my great suprise it was practically a ghost town!!!

It was probably down to 25% of what it was previously. There were only a few GDO Cliffjumpers for deluxes, a couple of mechtech voyagers, a voyager Prime Starscream, some botshots, Cyberverse and a whack of Optimus Maximus. This close to Christmas I was stunned to see how little there was on the shelves.

So what is it like at your local TRU right now?

My local TRU is lame as well... the section has shrunk over the last year to nothing much. I just don't think TFs are a focus for toy retailers this Christmas. The local Walmart has an even smaller TF section that looks even lamer!

TRU Pickering, all the TF: Prime stuff is empty, but still filled with movie figures. A bunch of GDO Cliffjumper and Generations Jazz and Prime.

Re: What is the TF situation at your local TRU?

My experience is similar to that of the OP.

Hamilton TRU TF section is about half of what it used to be, if that, one single deluxe (tuner skids). Some voyagers, but mostly roleplay masks. Some optimus maximus, and a bunch of "ultimate primes" in overstock way up high (but not a single one on display at regular height).

It was bizarre, it looked almost like they've decided to stop carrying TFs or something...

In the place of TFs were TMNT table/chair sets, and star wars figures.

The Surrey TRU is pretty lame compared to the other TRU's like Bowmac. I've had a few good finds but nothing to brag about. If I only I had a car dammit!

Re: What is the TF situation at your local TRU?

Last time I checked, here in Winnipeg, the Polo TRU is pretty much wiped out. It's pretty much a huge wall of Kre-O now.

The Regent TRU was wiped too but they did have some FE Prime and GDO figures left.

I'm just happy that they finally managed to get rid of most of the movie figures since it looked like they would never leave.

Re: What is the TF situation at your local TRU?

TRU Laurier has a bunch of MechTech deluxe still on pegs (Sideswipe, Roadbuster and Top Spin mostly), FE Cliffjumper, A few PRID Wave 1, a peg or two of FOC Jazz and Optimus.

there was some Cyberverse stuff, Trilogy Prime and Voyager Starscream and maybe Bulkhead and Bot Shot but when it comes to Deluxes it feels like they've just given up!

What the frack is going on out there?!

Re: What is the TF situation at your local TRU?

TRU in Champlain Mall, Moncton, is finally starting to move some of the older stock they were sitting on. 1st Ed. Bumble Bee only has 3 full pegs instead of the usual 5! and the last few waves of the movies stuff, mechtech weapons are reduced to $8 and some change. But it is starting to thin out pretty good. My hope is that once all the dead weight is gone the new stock rolls in! I hope!
