days of future past wasn't accurate to the original comic as well but i loved that movie. loved the ending and it gave me high hopes to the next one.

Re: Who has seen AOE

Skipping plot is bad, but I think all those previous Micheal Bay Transformers' movies were like that. I just still can't get away from the ending part where Optimus flies away with booster. I really didn't expected that and that just kills the movie. There isn't much point of him wearing the jetpack in DOTM or combining with jetfire in ROTF anymore if he knows how to fly like that all the time along. I guess all autobots know how to fly now? Maybe that is how they get to earth? Next movie they should just all fly, no point to turn into a car.

Re: Who has seen AOE

I went because I have a coupon... and my brother and I were curious to see what Michael Bay would do to the franchise this time.

To me the 1st Bay's movie is still the best. At least it has a sense of a real, mysterical crisis developing for the first half/third. This 4th attempt is just about explosions, explosions, and explosions from end to end. Plot holes are huge and many. Well, at least they do without bad jokes, humping, etc. Oh one last thing - I was speechless when Prime blasted off and leave Earth at the end.

We went for the 3D showing and the effects are actually not too bad but it is not as well implemented as Gravity last year.

One thing I want to mention: Mark Wahlberg, etc. did a good job under the circumstances. They acted as best as they could.

Days of Future Past was an excellent film. AOE wishes it was that good.

I agree. One of the best movies of the summer.

And Transformers AOE did not break $100 million this weekend. ONLY made $36.4 Million!!! So to all the people expecting it to break $100 million, I am afraid you guys are wrong. It's is not going to come close to the other movies. Looks like the reviews were right about it being that bad. Bring on Dawn of The Planet of the Apes to take the #1 spot next weekend.

Re: Who has seen AOE

Its really lagging behind in North American Sales, but doing really well in China. Could still reach a billion worldwide, but ya the guy who claimed it was going to go UP in it's second weekend was so very very wrong.

"Transformers: Age of Extinction plummeted 64 percent to an estimated $36.4 million. So far, Age of Extinction has earned $174.7 million, and is trailing the last two Transformers movies by a wide margin. Based on its current trajectory, it's likely that this winds up between $245 million and $265 million."

I have to agree with you. Days of the Future Past is the best one I watched so far. I am most looking forward to Dawn of the Planet of the Apes this year. I seen the first one at the theatre, it was way better than I thought it could be!
