You're probably better off (not knowing, that is).

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat
Food courts always make me leery. In a restaurant you can control, more or less, what comes and goes. A food court, not so much as who knows what your next door neighbour is doing or bringing in.

Depends. I use to know a guy who worked as a waiter at some chinese restaurant (probably one of those cheap one). He wouldn't tell me details, but he says he doesn't eat at any chinese restaurants after knowing what goes on at the one he worked at.

Hehehe.... I did say control. The roach and slug were probably unintentional. The stray from the back alley, however....

Ah. Funny.
I'm just saying that you can't assume all restaurants are going to be held to the same standard. Unless you are working there, you can't control what happens in or out.
In other words, it's not impossible what happens at a food court can't happen in a restaurant.

Not just the kitchen staff!!!
I worked at Earl's on Kingsway, in the kitchen, for one year. Made my way up from dish pig, to prep, to appy cook (hooray...not!). One lunch hour this group of 5 were being very particular and to their detriment their server had a reputation for being hot headed among the staff.
After she brought out their nachos she came storming into the back with their cutlery. They had complained about the forks being dirty and asked for new silverware. She picked off the dried food in between the forks (left over from the high temperature wash) went to the washroom, swished them around in the toilet, waved them in the air to air dry them, then returned the cutlery to the table with a grin that said "eat my shit". We were all speechless, including the dayshift manager who was scared shitless of her and did nothing.
Thankfully, Earl's on Kingsway and her are long gone.
