This is pretty common practice.

The context makes it look awful but there are a lot of companies that incentivize you to leave a positive review.

If I was an incompetent and dishonest business owner who couldn't create any customer satisfaction with my own actions, I'd do this too.

The real scam is the review companies like Yelp, fb and google that you can pay to manage view visibility so that when you do manage to create something positive, you could literally have 10 to 1 bad reviews but you wouldn't know it by how those companies curate it for you.

He probably got a call from a yelp rep and ponied up.

I've been trying to get a refund from him since Feb 3rd.


Amazing when I asked for a refund, suddenly, he had most of my order in stock! (except for my Scorponok Titan, and three Generations selects figures).



I'm planning to call my credit card company on Monday now.

Good call, he's full of shit. Will tell you that the CC company and Paypal can't touch him until you actually do it and he's forced to give you your money back.

Unfortunately, it's been more then 180 days since things were paid, so Paypal won't do anything.
