HomeDepot.ca and CandianTire.ca both run on SAP Commerce (Hybris). Rona runs on HCL Commerce (formerly IBM Websphere). The platform does make a difference.

Which is also strange. I've seen them if they have the sku pop it into a different system. Y'know, looks like Dos or a dedicated software. Theycan look up in transit, at other stores, etc. None of that is on the website.

Re: ToysRUs.ca Transformers Sightings and discussion
I believe in Fall, 2019 TRU changed their system.
I remember going into one looking for the Siege Refraktor 3-pack and the agent at Customer Service complaining about the new system they had to use. The agent asked another associate who I believe opened up the old system and quickly found the refraktor pack and knew exactly where in the store it was -- (in a to-be-shelved pile) -- as they jadn't yet gotten around to putting it up on the shelf.
I remember years prior, around the MP-10 release period, when I had asked at 2 different stores about inventory, they had used something which looked DOS-based, out of the 1980s. Ancient, but effective, and they were able to quickly see how many they should have in-store, or were receiving, and people who had called requesting to reserve items. Lucky me, when I acquired MP10, the agent did not care much for the people who tried to reserve (multiples).

Yes, with their new updates, they also completely blocked me out of orders to my POBOX, not that it worked before, but now have no where to put orders as most TFs are never put for store pickup and unless its SS Crowbar.

If you trust the people at your post office enough to know you and know your address, you can still get stuff shipped to a PO Box. I had something shipped to my street address, and the people at the post office knowing who I was just put it in my box.
I really don't understand why TRU do this when if you're in a rural location, you're going to get shipped with Canada Post regardless.

Re: ToysRUs.ca Transformers Sightings and discussion
TRU's system sucks, and the employees at the warehouse do not error check.
I use Canada Posts FlexDelivery which is a free PO box, and in the past shipped my packages from TRU to my FlexDelivery Address. The system still has my PO Box in my profile, which I tried shipping too last year (before I realized I can not anymore) and they shipped it via FedEx.
Neither the TRU system or FedEX caught the error until the package was on the truck, and FedEX called me asking what to do since they can not deliver to a PO.

Sounds like you don't check errors, either…
And no, of course they don't check. A machine spits out a label, and a guy making minimum wage slaps it on a box, and puts it in a truck.
My apartment number got left off the label once, through no fault of my own, so Canada Post returned it to sender, and I got screwed. At least you got a phone call to sort it out.
