Oh, awesome! Hopefully I can expect some MP Datsun love in the next few days then. Thanks Panda! Not holding my breath about duties though, I feel like Canada Customs has my name on file or something.

I don't usually get dinged duties through C post, especially if the amounts are under 100.

UPS is another story, duty + handling charge. They even nailed me the other day for $45 duty and brokerage on a warranty item.

Apparently they dropped the ball with the original retail preorder price. The retailers put up the actual wholesale price of the figure, instead of their marked up retail price. So when they adjusted the price, most people backed out. I'm sure someone will come up with another Ironfist/Fisitron. Maybe Mech iDeas... they need another release soon.

Yeah, that's why I almost never get things shipped through couriers if I can help it. The brokerage fees are insane.

Canada Post always seems to get me on bigger shipments, but then that's $300+ Piles of Loot from BBTS.

Yeah they don't miss to many of those big $ ones. I think you might have a 50/50 chance with those, especially with XMas around the corner.

Canada customs is quite weird with customs charges. I've had customs open things up, valued over $200, and they never bothered slapping a customs fee on it, compared to items around $100 from HLJ through EMS, that get slapped with a fee, even though they never opened it up.

I think they target express/priority services more. As opposed to couriers where ground shipments are almost guaranteed to get hit.
