Re: Leading bidder on eBay
Somebody on eBay has Hegemon and the fairfire kit for 140$ used plus 10$ shipping. Is that a lot?

Re: Leading bidder on eBay
Plus BBTS, I'll get charged custom fees. And if I don't like the kit, worst come to worst, I'll sell it.

Re: Leading bidder on eBay
Hegemon still commands $110+ ? There was one sitting at a table all day at OCC for $60. It wasn't MISB,but looked to be MIB...

Re: Leading bidder on eBay
What's the difference with using a computer to bid for you right at the end of the auction? Whether you bid manually with 3 seconds left or the computer bids for you with 0.0001 seconds left, it doesn't matter. Nobody has time to enter another bid to beat you in that 3 seconds and if you both have equal bids, then the manual bid will win because it went in first. It's completely irrelevant at which point the bid is made if it's in the last 3-5 seconds.
Ebay's software encourages it anyway, at a normal auction they add a few more seconds if someone bids at the end and they wait to see if anyone else wants to outbid them. With Ebay they don't care, it ends when it's scheduled to end no matter how many people are bidding at the end.

Re: Leading bidder on eBay
wait for 2 minutes till auction closes, and bid on it then, your max you are ready to pay. I think you can stop making new bids at the 1 minute mark, but that is what it used to be, not sure about now.

I usually bid on the last 10 seconds.

Re: Leading bidder on eBay
Cherry Bomb Toys in Victoria <cbtoys@telus.net> has a boxed complete Hegemon $75. Add Tax and Shipping about $105. Email "B" at Cherry Bomb.

So last Sunday, I found ToyWorld Hegemon, bid starting at 90$. 5 days later and I am the leading bidder for Hegemon. Two more days, til the bidding ends and I submit my payment. Hopefully nobody will enter last minute with a higher bid. It's free shipping and it's in 25 minutes away from my house.
