I picked up Downbeat at A3U in store yesterday afternoon. They had also posted on FB that it was in stock yesterday too. So they do have him in stock (also website for me says Add to Cart)

Why is it that I paid A3U long ago and mine isn't shipped, while there's stock going out the door to foot traffic?

in store and at fairs A3U is fantastic. i think online is a separate beast though. geared more towards the US than Canada. but if you think they're holding out on you, call them up and say so. gives them a chance to make you happy and you a chance to determine whether they are a place you want to spend your money.

on point, finally decided to hold out for Takara or MMC or Fanstoys. none of the 4 offerings are quite there imo

Kind of insulting really... "Awaiting shipment" sounds to me like they don't think people read the forums. As if "Oh those preorder guys will never know we are selling stock and making them wait for the next shipment"

They're probably working through the preorders and getting them ready to ship out in a batch.

They don't take calls about ecommerce according to their website. Last time I tried emailing them about an order (tried 2x) they didn't get back to me for 2 weeks. So, I figured posting publicly might garner a reaction

Do note that their online order stock isn't kept in store. They ship from the warehouse. In fact if they run out of stock in their warehouse they pull from the store.

Once had an item in hand and they once had to check to make sure it hadn't been sold online before they could sell to me.

Picked up Downbeat today at A3U. Figure is magnificent. For me, definitely the best of all the J4zz out there. The more I fiddle with it, the more I like it. More G1 than G1.

Not perfect. A few things I could niggle about, but regardless, the figure that ends up topping this will be have to be epic.
