Toyline
Like the majority of the people on this site, I am a child of the eighties, and thus grew up reading and watching the Transformers. The one thing I loved about the old toy line, was the diversity of figures that they had. Sure some were repaints of other molds, and others never appeared in the show, but it didn't matter, all of them helped to flesh out the G1 Transformers universe. Hasbro did it again with Beast Wars the later toy lines, making characters that didn't appear in the shows. The question is, with Animated going into its third season, would you like to:
a) Have the toy line focus more on the characters on the show (including different versions of characters) ; or
b) expand the toy line to include figures that don't make an appearance on the show, but add to the Animated Universe. (I am aware that Oil Slick is rumored to appear in the 3rd season, I'm referring to other non-show characters).
Elaborate on your decisions as well, would like to see where people stand on the subject.

Re: Toyline
Non-show characters like Oil Slick are cool...
Upgraded characters like Samurai Prowl are cool...
Remolds are cool...
Straight repaints are not...
Stuff I wouldn't mind seeing:
-Supreme Omega Supreme
-Leader Optimus Prime (with trailer)
-Cybertronian versions of Ratchet, Bulkhead, Bumblebee, Prowl, etc.
-Leader Lugnut (well, not really, but I know most fans want one and I would buy it anyway)

I agree, straight re-paints don't jive with me. Would be cool to see Cybertronian versions of some characters. Would be great if they do a Leader class of Lugnut (his alt mode would be longer than the other leader classes).

Re: Toyline
I'm just suprised Waspinator wasen't a straight repaint of deulxe BB with a new head. Kudos to Hasbro for getting that right. Though I agree with everything Pascal said with a few additions:
-A voyager sized version of Ratchet and Sentinel Prime
-A full voyager prime with proper firetruck attachment, proper show axe, Autobot symbol, and removed leg spinning gimmick
- Figures with better support (IE Blitzwings jet mode tail fins just flopping around, Swoops wings improperly pegging in the back of robot mode)

Re: Toyline
Theres so many cool show characters that I hope we get to see most or all of them. But if they are going to make some characters that don't appear in the show I'd love to see the other 2 dinobots!
Would absolutely love to see Supreme class Omaga.
And I don't like to see too many repaints.. although I really like the lockdown mold, and can't wait for the stealth version.

Maybe the guys who did the city commander kit for Classics Ultra Magnus will do one for Prime.

Re: Toyline
I'd really like to see Ironhide.
I'd love to see Rattrap put in the animated Universe somewhere. A Ed Roth style muscle car would be a cool alt mode for him.
Cheers!
