He made a post a couple months ago saying he was going to step back from his interactions with his customers because he was getting too bitter (of course, he worded it in a way that blamed the customers). But he has yet to step back in any sense. His narcissism prevents him from it. I think he enjoys being a piece of shit

Re: Northmen Collectibles NMC Toys - not impressed

I just noticed the T&C page has been updated again.

The first update (March 10) was done after I pointed out to him that the website was mentioning 15% cancellation fee (for which he had called me a liar ). He then changed it to 10%.

Now I noticed he added "The customer will be responsible for paying the $20 fee for any disputes they attempt to pursue with their card company in an effort to circumvent store cancellation policies or skip ahead of others in the support queue and receive their refund faster."

Full comparison here

Lol. Good luck to him enforcing that $20 threat.

A company policy is not necessarily an enforceable law.

But for those he may threaten with his new "$20 fee" this is merely a course of action on his behalf and not actually binding to said customer.

Pretty much an attempt at intimidation from anyone perusing going through their credit card company or PayPal as a resolution.

If the credit card company charges $20 to him for losing a dispute, I suspect it violates the CC company's terms with him for attempting to charge it back... Just a guess, otherwise every retailer would try to do that.

Re: Northmen Collectibles NMC Toys - not impressed

Even if your preorder transactions to NMC are past the Paypal 180 day cutoff for disputing a charge, I would still highly recommend you call their customer service. I called this morning and explained the situation to them and they kindly gave me a promotional credit in the amount that I was still owed. It still galls me that this man child gets to keep my money but at least I was able to recoup some of my losses. I still have one charge within the 180 day limit that I'm waiting to be refunded but I don't think I'll be denied. I did receive several choice emails from NMC.

For anyone who reads these words please do not do business with this man. The website is slick and compelling but it is a complete scam. If you want a fantastic local alternative, try BigBComics. They are amazing. I wish everyone who is still trying to tie up loose ends with NMC the best of luck. His unprofessional manner and attitude only adds insult to injury during this tough time and I can only hope he gets what he deserves, which I pray is his business going bottom up.

Re: Northmen Collectibles NMC Toys - not impressed

The one thing that I can't get over is that everything I've read here or on reddit or BBB.org says to avoid this guy and his business like the plague. For a small, local GTA business he sure doesn't have any qualms about poisoning the local pond. How will he make any money if every collector in the GTA has either had a bad experience with him or reads about all those bad experiences online.
