Re: Hasbro vs Takara Computron Side by Side Comparison
I like and dislike elements of both. Hasbro wins with hands/feet for me, I like their Strafe better, as well as Afterburner and, to my shock, Nosecone. I like the MOLD choice for lightspeed better but yeah, the deco is atrocious!
Takara wins with the new Computron head and overall deco. To my shock, again, I don't like Rook as Nosecone as much as I thought I would. I DO like all the individual new head sculps, so they should be.
Both have merit, Takara will win overall ,but will def cost more too. As for Lightspeed? WHYYY couldn't we get the Dead End mold with the Takara deco?

Re: Hasbro vs Takara Computron Side by Side Comparison
Yeah, what's up with the different feet that Hasbro's using? It's like they went with an upgrade from Perfect Effects, whatever they're called.
It's like the put in more retooling for Computron than they did for Bruticus.

Re: Hasbro vs Takara Computron Side by Side Comparison
That Takara Computron blows Hasbro's version out of the water. It's not even close. Kind of sad, really.

Re: Hasbro vs Takara Computron Side by Side Comparison
I can't believe how different they are; it blows my mind. Nose Cone looks like a completely different mould. I agree that I like the Hasbro feet better, but that can be easily fixed with an expensive PE set.

Re: Hasbro vs Takara Computron Side by Side Comparison
After seeing how much remolding and choice for limbs Takara did I couldn't say no and now I have my first UW on preorder

Re: Hasbro vs Takara Computron Side by Side Comparison
Oh, wild... I did my own version of this as well. Didn't know they were doing one, too, though mine includes the originals for comparison, as well as more analysis.
Same conclusion as many have drawn, though.
Because it is: Takara retooled the Rook mold while Hasbro retooled the Brawl mold. As for Lightspeed, I think Takara chose that mold because of the rounded windshield, just like on the original toy.

Re: Hasbro vs Takara Computron Side by Side Comparison
preordered tak version a while ago. usually tak remolds just 1 character, this time they altered 4 out of 5. it's quite a big change.
i am going to buy 3rd party copies of hasbro's hands and foot

I think Scrounge was a marvel comics character, so the people in Japan know nothing about the character. Or Takara will release him with Titan Returns Blaster. (Legends Shockwave comes with a headmaster guy).
