IDW Thundercracker and his pet

IDW Robots in Disguise issue 28, the aftermarth of the Titans battle on Cybertron between Metroplex and the Necrotitan and the conclusion of Dark Cybertron. In the beginning of the issue, we see Thundercracker flying towards his bunker when he noticed his pet dog Buster (Buster is a male name, yet the dog is a female). Where was he during the MTMTE/RID era when Bumblebee wanted to be The Chosen One and the search for the Knights of Cybertron , he just shows up out of the blue in issue 28 of MTMTE.

Thundercracker was on earth the whole time. At the conclusion of All Hail Megatron he choose to stay on earth as he didn't want to be involved in the war anymore.
