What annoys you most about big box retailers ?

One of the biggest one for me is the lack of knowledge from the staff, I can not count how many times I have gone in into WM and ended up helping a parent or grandparent find a tf they are looking for and the staff member who is in that department has no clue about what is in their department. I have even heard one say "this is not my department."
or the staff just ignores the persons and gets ticked off if you try to ask them a question.

Lack of product by a mile. And not just Transformers: video games, food items, etc - I feel like I'm constantly struggling and checking multiple locations to find stock.

Distant second is Walmarts penchant for having 3 checkouts open with massive lines on a busy day.

It's like they're failing at the 2 most basic elements of retail: have product, and accept money in exchange for said product.

That said, I as impressed to see on the front of this week's Real Canadian Superstore flyer a big banner stating they guarantee having all checkouts open 10am-6pm this weekend. Smart.

You mentioned Super Store so I have to have my say. I hate how they close the self check out lane near closing time to empty the cash from the machines. Then there is like 2 normal checkout lanes open. Why can't the empty the machines after closing.

Customers who whip out the stack of flyers to price match just as they get to the register. That, in combination with a cashier who doesn't understand price matching.

One of two items to price match is fine, but anything more should be redirected to a dedicated price-matching checkout line with a knowledgeable cashier.

Prices, scalpers, lack of product, etc... That is why I haven't done any toy hunting in years. Nothing worst than going into a store and seeing empty shelves or junk and leaving empty handed. Not worth the trouble.
