Year of the Horse Edition MP-10 Optimus Prime

Finally received my YotH Optimus Prime (MP-10) in the mail and if you don't have a MP-10 yet, you would do good to get this one. I don't have a MP-10 (but I do have a MP-10B) and upon my initial reticence upon hearing of a YotH Optimus I'm glad to say I was completely off base. I enjoy the colour scheme a lot more than I expected and the clear trailer isn't as tacky as I thought. Everything seems to work together, surprisingly and I'm glad I ordered mine instead of waiting for TRU Canada to get them in.

Pretty excited with what I saw but would it ever be a stand-in for a proper MP-10? For me, Let's say I still have space in my collection for a MP-10. But it is far down on my list now since getting my YotH Optimus Prime Edition.

Very nice review. I am in exactly the same situation as you are... no MP-10, but have MP-10B. This guy is waiting for me at the post office (hopefully no fees) and he will be all mine tonight. For now he will be my MP10 stand-in. When I get MP-10, I will probably display MP-10 YOTH in vehicle mode.

No kidding. I'm not sure I have encountered another MP figure, or Transformer for that matter, that looks so good in person but looks so mediocre in photographs.

Yes, it looks very nice I have all three and I am so glad I picked up YOTH Prime instead of waiting. His colours in person are much nicer.

Congrats Longshot. Are you going to attempt any part swapping with MP-10B, specifically the hips?

And I agree, when you see that red colour in your hand, it really is nice.

Was there ever Roller for MP-10? Or even a 3rd party one?

Takara MP-10 came with a silver Roller and Hasbro TRU MP-10 came with a blue Roller. They also came with a miniature Spike.

I fully agRee with you here. He looks really nice in person.

I'm not sure what to do with the trailer.

Got mine today. No taxes. He's fantastic, and I don't have to hunt for him. This was my first BBTS purchase, and it was quite pleasant.

I quite like the way it is packaged.
