Just got my Coneheads from CMD Store. I noticed it was double-taped on the actual packaging (not the brown shipper box) and I was kind of freaking out. After opening it though, the figures were brand new and strapped in with their ties, so all good. Finally happy that getting these is over, lol.

Just an FYI for future reference, it's happened plenty before for new toys to be double taped. I have no idea why they're double taped, (maybe random inspections of some sort) but like I said, there have been many instances in the past of this happening.

Many moons ago, I remember seeing that all the MP Acid Storms on the shelves were double tapped. IMHO, if it's an obvious , sloppy job, the chances are it's fine. If it's super clean and you need microscope to see that a second layer of tape was applied, then I'd be concerned.

Any ways, I'm glad people are getting their stuff.

Yes, it's part of Hasbro's QA process, happens more often with collectibles than standard retail releases.
