got ship notice for rodimus

ive been smashing my head trying to get a preorder price match on this. Here's the condensed story
- preorder for 119 plus tax in april
- sale price drops to 95.46 on aug 20
- online policy says you get adjusted within 24 hours
- spoke to 3 online chat CS over the week and got:
its adjusted in 3-5 business days
its adjusted when shipped and to contact once its marked as shipped
its adjusted when shipped and to contact once its marked as shipped (another cs)
- today it got marked as shipped so i go in to check invoice, no adjust. Contact online chat cs again as instructed to adjust and am now told it will be done once received.

one of my big issues is the fact that they asked for proof on the sale price. luckily i placed an order for one because i had a feeling that amazon would screw me like that.

so ill try again once its delivered, luckily the chat logs stay in place but just in case i got my screen shots for proof.

heres a picture of the sale price from Aug 20th in case you preordered months ago. Collect your $25 discount

Just got a notification that Rodimus will ship between Sept 1 - 14. Purchased at $95. Surprisingly they were still taking orders at that price even though it was out of stock.

I don't get why you went through so much trouble?

If you placed 2nd order with sale price, why not just cancel the 1st one?

first order has a solid ship date. newer one has no ship date. tired of waiting. i want the new thing now and at the better price. Amazon has been sketchy with orders, i have no reason to really trust them to follow through if there is no ship date.

another part of me demands that they actually follow the policies they themselves set forth.

the better question is why should i have to go through so much trouble.


i didnt even use money for this order. used aeroplan points to buy gift cards and paid it off entirely with that months ago, any refund i get will be Amazon credit. I'll toss that on a pre-order to bring that cost down.
