Just starting to get into the Masterpiece Seekers

Hi guys, maybe you can help me out.

I just picked up my first Masterpiece, Thundercracker, the other night.

I like it a lot. Enough so that I sort of want to go back and find a Skywarp and a Starscream to go with.

But I'm not too knowledgeable about the molds used in these.

Is North American Thundercracker the same as MP-07? Or is it a regional redeco of the new MP-11?

As far as I know, the Walmart North American Skywarp is essentially MP-06, right?

Basically I want to get the set that is closest to each other in terms of mold consistency, possible size differences, and the like. Which combination of them would best accomplish this?

(And do all of them come with similar bases? The mounting base for Thundercracker is pretty awesome)

I am assuming you got the Toys R Us Thundercracker. This is the new mold.

The ONLY other toy that will match this mold is Takara's MP-11 Masterpiece Starscream (the coronation set).

mp-11, mp-11s (sunstorm) and tru thundercracker are the only three released from the new mold, the mounting bases came with all of the mp-3 mold versions, but so far, only thundercracker comes with one

Unfortunately, MP-11 is sold out everywhere Takara version. MP-11S can still be found online.

I agree with the OP, Thundercracker rocks.

Notice the logo's on Thundercracker are upside down though to MP-11. I know its only details but it bothers me that they would not look the same.

Re: Just starting to get into the Masterpiece Seekers

There is a Starscream, Sunstorm, and Thundercracker in the MP-11 mold, which is the mold you have. You could get Starscream and Skywarp in the MP-03 mold, but put with an MP-11 mold I think that would look ugly.

So I'm in the same boat as you sir. I want all 3 seekers, but I want them in the MP-11 mold. I have Thundercracker but I don't know about Starscream. I don't mind that both have their Decepticon logos going different directions, but only 1 has the stand. The lack of a stand really bugs me. I just don't know who will release a Skywarp. If Hasbro does, then it'll most likely come with a stand. And if Tak-Tom does, then most likely not.

I'd display the 2 Hasbro ones in jet mode on the stand with Starscream in the middle with coronation gear attached.

Hasbro should have just released all 3 seekers in the MP-11 mold at the same time. Or at least spread their releases over a few months and just let us know in advance instead of making us speculate about it.
