Wheelie and Bumblebee

Hey hey hey,

So here's something I can't recall nor find online: did Bumblebee and Wheelie ever share a scene in Season 3 or TFTM? The reason I ask is I'm trying to determine their approximate scale. Of course, the cartoon is always REALLY flexible scale-wise, but that's also sort of why I'm hoping to visually see them together.

I'm trying to decide if my Yom-G Not-Wheelie fits with MP Bee or not. At first I thought he looked too big, but when I see Wheelie with other autobots, it seems to me they might actually be the same height. If so, I think I'll be happy with my next display. If not, tweaks will be required.

Thanks!

Only very briefly in the movie while everybody is chanting til all are one at the very end. Blink and you'll miss it. Bumblebees lower half and wheelies left half share the screen for 2 seconds during a fade.

wowsers- that's a great catch. I'm not sure it solidifies my opinion one way or the other but that's some awesome detective work!

Re: Wheelie and Bumblebee

Awesome catch and awesome question!

Here's my take:

Even if they are found to share 1 or 2 scenes, we'd need more for a consistent scale.
Since the movie had good consistency:

Bumblebee nd exo-Spike shared good scenes.
So did Wheelie and Eco-Daniel.

So find a scene with Exo Spike and Daniel. Are they the same size due to exo suits?

If yes then it makes scaling easier. Otherwise you can still compare all of them.

I too was going to suggest comparing the size of both wheelie and bumblebee to others.

They're right beside each other on the scale guide-line diagram. Wheelie looks a little smaller.

Re: Wheelie and Bumblebee

More good info and ideas here. I have to say, after taking further suggestions and Googling for images of Spike/Daniel with them... I've decided not to fret about it.

Spike is pretty consistently shown as being up to Bumblebee's chest both in and out of exo-suit. As far as toys are concerned this makes Exo Spike to scale with bumblebee but regular spike out of scale. However, regular Spike looks more in scale and that certainly holds true for MP vehicles.

Meanwhile, Daniels seems to be anywhere between Wheelie's waist right on up to the exact same height as Wheelie. I think, after looking at so many pics, Wheelie might be in the running for least consistently scaled Transformer throughout the G1 anime.

At the end of the day, I'm going to be cool with how Yom-G Not-Wheelie and MP Bumblebee scale. I don't think the animators themselves ever quite figured it out, so I'm going to break from my own OCD tendencies and just ignore it altogether. They are what they are!
