Prime Blurr

The idea of TFP Blurr was birthed the moment I opened up TFP Wheeljack. Luckily for the project I popped my customizing cherry well before hand so I wasn't going to make a mess of this. Still there was still alot of customizing firsts with this toy, so I still had to cash in the Vcard again....

For the transition from WJ to Blurr, the most obvious part was the head, I cut Wheeljack's 'ears' and added Blurr's trademark fin. I added a couple tendrils, a goatee, and IRL Blurrz smirk for character. Second had to be Blurr's signature shoulders. I could have left the shoulders parallel to the chest instead of WJ's perpendicular, but I really wanted more height with it, so I greenstuffed the shoulders to make them taller. This complements the vehicle mode, making it more aerodynamic and blurr friendly. Lastly I had to toss the swords because they look terrible to begin with. Didn't stray too far from home as I found something from my Gunpla hobby, taking Gundam Cherudim's Sniper Rifle transitioning into Battle Rifle weapon.

For paints, I mixed my teals and blues with whites and metallics for a shinier sheen. Added a bunch of paint chipping which isn't exactly evident with the photos, guess I'll try photographing with a white background from now on.

Thanks for looking!

Re: Prime Blurr

I'm not big on Blurr as a Drift repaint but this does work very well on that level. I wonder if Hasbro is watching.

Re: Prime Blurr

Wheeljack is a good choice for Blurr, I think. Nice colours. The smirk is a great expression for a 'bot holding that gun.
