Re: ToysRUs.ca Transformers Sightings and discussion
Got Buzzworthy Kup and Cliffjumper at my local TRU today (they only had 1 of each). Man does this line have an identity crisis. Like wtf is "Buzzworthy Bumblebee Studio Series"? And to top it of, these figures have clear windows protecting the figures (while many others in the line don't). Hasbro's just making some random and unnecessary moves lately.

A chance for Hasbro to sell you more stuff, nothing more than that. And it worked.

That's not my point. I really wanted these and would have bought these regardless. The Bumblebee line just makes zero sense though. I thought they were aiming this more at a younger audience, but they're putting Studio Series figures into the line, while also simultaneously having the separate Transformers Studio Series line. It just seems overly confusing and unnecessary.

Nothing confusing. It's as I said, Hasbro just has an extra line to pump out more stuff for you (or anyone else) to buy. And it's at a minimal cost for them since it's all existing molds. They don't care that it's random, and neither do you since it didn't detract a sale. The BB line is just more stuff to put on shelves so that there is always TF products available.
That's it.

No offense and not trying to argue, but why are you making so many assumptions? I bought the figures because I wanted them, that's it. This is two of the only figures which I picked up from the Bumblebee line (along with Origin Bumblebee). I just thought it was weird that they're writing Studio Series on the packaging the line is not part of the Studio Series line. That was it. Where is this going, lol...

I know. I'm just answering your question and making no assumptions. Sorry if it came across that way. I agree though, it's going nowhere. Though to answer your question about SS, the Bumblebee line is a catch all line and has sublines within it, like the SS subline. Kup and cliff are part if they second wave. Hasbro considers them both coming from the SS line but released through the Bumblebee line to offer TRU and Target more product for their shelves. Don't know if that was more helpful.
Take care
