I thought they were aiming this more at a younger audience, but they're putting Studio Series figures into the line, while also simultaneously having the separate Transformers Studio Series line. Nothing confusing. It's as I said, Hasbro just has an extra line to pump out more stuff for you (or anyone else) to buy. And it's at a minimal cost for them since it's all existing molds. They don't care that it's random, and neither do you since it didn't detract a sale. The BB line is just more stuff to put on shelves so that there is always TF products available.
