Re: Post your Transformers Photos 2021 Edition

[Re-posting from TFW2005]
Been sitting on taking comparison shots like this for too long, but Scorponok is one of the few toys that has survived my childhood and quite frankly deserves it.

["Stock" vs. DNA Armed-to-the-Teeth]

I'd completely forgotten how tiny the original G1 Scorponok is after handling the Earthrise one for so long. He's adorably tiny compared to the behemoth of a modern version.

Base mode isn't one that I convert to often; takes up too much space. I'm more surprised that the base plastic colour for the G1 covers was orange instead of seeing the chrome has worn off so heavily... I suppose that's what happens when it's stored in an non-temperature controlled attic after being enjoyed by my kid self.

Curious if anyone is going to offer 3D printed radar dishes and accoutrements for the new one down the road.

Bot mode really brings home how far we've come in the multiple decades between these releases. Between the double headmaster gimmick being carried over from Fort. Max, and the sheer heft/chonk increase from the modern budgeting, I didn't mind that the gun and bigger shield were separate after-market add-ons. The DNA rifle is FUGE and basically a pistol for me.

These guys are so cute together.

G1: "Back in my day, all we had were shoulders, hips, and knees, and that's the way we liked it!"

ER: "Grampa, do you need an oil change?"
G1: "... Yes, and make it snappy!"
