I believe I may have erred in stating that Grimlock was put into Prime's trailer in an episode... It is possible I mis-remembered and fused the memory of a wooly mammoth fitting into Prime's trailer and the Autobots struggling to get the Dinobots into the shuttle in TFTM'86.
Still, further to the scale discussion -- I don't put too much emphasis on it. The combiners seem to increase in size ridiculously in some episodes... (eg. Starscream stands on Bruticus' shoulder, and Megatron fits in Bruticus' fist).
The seekers are about 30% taller the Autobot cars (200mm vs 155mm - eye level comparison for MPs ; 120mm vs 94mm for G1s). In the cartoon, I thought they were shown to be closer in height.
Optimus Prime's pilot is too big to fit into the cockpit of a seeker, as shown in the attached pic. So...
Next up for a size comparison will be seeing Daniel in an exoSuit that comes with MP Bumblebee.
Hence, as I said, I won't be too particular about size, especially in bot mode. As long as they are close, for me, that's good enough.
To each their own... Size matters to some -- not so much to others.
Really, it's what you do with it, right?
